Aida Husna binti Ruslan read law at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) where she graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Hons) in 2008. She was admitted to practice as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in January 2010 and was in active practice as an Advocate and Solicitor from January 2010 to April 2015. In May 2015, she joined UMPH and was subsequently appointed as the Head of Legal Division. She was promoted to the position of Manager Legal & Corporate Secretarial Division on 2019 before being appointed as Vice President, Legal & Governance Division in January 2022 where she is responsible for the Group’s Legal & Governance functions in legal & secretarial, integrity, and governance. She has 8 years of experience as a litigation lawyer where her portfolio involves general litigation, banking, bankruptcy insolvency, contract law, family and matrimonial, harta pusaka and land law disputes. She has appeared as counsel in the Magistrate and Sessions Court in hearings, and has assisted in High Court hearings.
